The SPOT Advanced Extended Depth of Focus module removes out of focus haze so you can publish images with incredible detail. The Extended Depth of Focus module combines a stack of partially focused images into one fully focused composite image based on maximum pixel intensity or local contrast. Local contrast is recommended for SPOT Advanced users who are imaging thick samples under low magnification. Maximum pixel intensity creates the composite image using the highest intensity value for the pixel, and is excellent for 3-D fluorescence imaging. The Extended Depth of Focus module can also scan through image stacks to return the best contrast image so that each image in the stack doesn't have to be reviewed manually.
